Actor who played first black superhero no more

Black Panther actor Chadwick Boseman died of colon cancer laston Saturday. He was 43. The news was announced by his family in a statement. The actor had been battling cancer for four years. Boseman had been diagnosed with stage three colon cancer in 2016. He appeared as Marvel superhero Black Panther in 2016’s Captain America: Civil War. Boseman also appeared in director Ryan Coogler’s 2018 film, Black Panther. He followed it up with two more appearances as the character. He was featured in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. Boseman’s most recent film appearance was in director Spike Lee’s Da 5 Bloods which released on Netflix earlier this year.

Chadwick Boseman was referred to as “the next Denzel Washington” and the first one has remembered Boseman as a “gentle soul.” Washington’s rep released a statement to CNN paying tribute to Boseman .

Chadwick Boseman was accorded a one-minute tribute at MTV Video Music Awards.

“The world needs more superheroes,” a title card read at the beginning of the segment, reports deadline.com.

In India, many Bollywood celebrities took to social media to mourn the demise of Boseman, known worldwide for his role of the superhero Black Panther.

Ranveer Singh and Kareena Kapoor Khan mourned the loss by posting a picture of Boseman with heartbreak emoji.

Disha Patani shared a picture of the actor from his childhood, with a heart and folded hands emoji.

Anupam Kher wrote: “Deeply saddened to know about the sad demise of #BlackPanther actor #ChadwickBoseman at such a young age. Apart from being a very fine actor, he was a humble man with an infectious smile. #WakandaForever #OmShanti.”
