Saladino and Maier collect 16000 lbs. food donation for Island Harvest

Oyster Bay Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino and Councilwoman Laura Maier recently hosted the Town’s ‘Cruise Thru Food Drop’ held in partnership with Island Harvest Food Bank, aimed at helping meet the increased need for food donations for local families during the COVID-19 pandemic. The cruise thru food drop was held in the parking lot of Marjorie Post Park and featured appropriate social distancing measures in place for those who came by to make donations going to help and restock local food banks throughout Long Island. All in all, the cruise thru food drop collected over 16,000 pounds of nonperishable food items collected to feed hungry families. Supervisor Saladino and Councilwoman Maier commended all in attendance for the amazing job they did helping to support local families.
